Adelaide, February 2022 - Premier South Australian caravan dealer Dave Benson Caravans will be exhibiting the Zeus 18’6 All Electric Offroader at the 2023 Let’s Go Caravan, Camping and Outdoor Show (15-19 Feb). The Zeus offers game changing recreational capability for the most spontaneous of campers who want a truly off-grid experience thanks to the incorporation of an industry-leading, system-engineered power system.
The Zeus is powered by a system co-developed by NCE and OzXcorp who have joined forces to distribute the DCX power platform across Australia and New Zealand. Dave Benson Caravans has exclusive rights to sell the Zeus in South Australia and is expected to attract a significant amount of attention at the upcoming show due to the truly off-grid capability it offers.
Shane Curnow of Dave Benson Caravans said that in practical terms, the Zeus power solution solves some of caravanning’s biggest power supply challenges.
“In the Zeus, you can run ANY domestic appliance without fear of overload,” explained Mr. Shane Curnow, General Manager - Dave Benson Caravans.
“On hot summer nights, you can run the aircon all night and still have plenty of power in the morning, even after also having cooked your evening meal on the electric stovetop. With the Zeus, you can ditch the LPG BBQ and enjoy the modern Weber pulse electric barbecue included as part of the caravan.”
“There is also no need for a generator and recharging can be undertaken from any power point, even 10A domestic,” added Mr Curnow.
The DCX platform consists of either a 14.3kWh or a 7.1kWh swappable chassis mounted batter linked to a 5kW 240VAC inverter/charger, scalable solar up to 4kW and a hefty 100Amp 12Volt DC supply. It is a complete turnkey solution to the electrification of a caravan or RV and allows the user to experience either a fully electric solution that eliminates LPG totally using the 14.3kWh battery or, continue to embrace fossil fuelled gas appliances with electric convenience using the 7.1kWh battery.
“It’s also a very safe product and owners can sleep easy knowing safety is integral in all OzXcorp DCX products,” stated Mr Curnow.
The Zeus is also complimented by best-in-class SunPower™ Maxeon panels that combine top efficiency, durability and warranty and are fitted to maximize solar energy and mitigate shading losses. It features a massive 1720Watt solar array.
The Zeus consists of an ultra-modern and highly spec’d Highline Caravan configuration measuring 7.738m and comprising bed, living, dining and bathroom amenities. The chassis has fully independent suspension and is on 16” wheels and rims. The shell features an electric double-step, euro-style windows, wall insulation, electric awning, picnic table and security door.
“The Zeus represents a milestone development in caravanning, thanks to the ingenuity of the DCX power platform,” commented Mr Curnow.
“Australia just got more explorable.”
